Ethix Ventures, Inc. aspires to serve as a gathering place for commerce that puts people and the environment at the head of a value chain today dominated solely by price.  We join our grasp of the technologies and the conveniences of the 21st century to social movements of an earlier vintage that remind us that “labor” is the principal source of wealth and that commerce should serve working people ‘behind the scenes’ at least as well as it serves consumers and investors.  
 
“Shopping” through Ethix Ventures supports employers who recognize the rights of workers to organize unions as well as the rights of workers who have formed their own democratically structured enterprises.  Ethix Ventures seeks to build bridges between the idealism of the burgeoning and youthful “fair trade” movement and the idealism of an older labor movement that has long served as a home for those who care to question the status quo.
